Having a family member with Borderline Personality Disorder can make you feel all alone, with no one to talk to who really understands. And real life support groups are nearly impossible to find.
That’s why Randi Kreger, author, advocate, and owner of BPDCentral.com, started the Welcome to Oz online family community in 1996. WTO is a sacred place where you’ll meet new friends who know just what you’re facing because they’ve been there too. There, you’ll experience understanding and comfort and learn tips and techniques that have worked for others. WTO members are wonderfully supportive and can carry you through both good and bad times.
Welcome To Oz is open to people who have someone with BPD in their life who will live up to the spirit of our Covenant and follow our all-important Guidelines. Because we’ve grown to more than 16,000 members, we can offer 15 diverse and active groups so you can talk with someone in your own particular situation (see the list of groups below).
Professional management of these group is provided by Lisa. Lisa moderates the groups, ensuring they’re safe, spam-free, and on topic. She’s there to help you with any concern, including technical issues. You’ll find her email address at the bottom of every post. Don’t hesitate to contact her at any time with a question or concern: that’s why she’s there.
Many discussions on the community revolve around concepts and tools in Randi Kreger’s books The Essential Family Guide to Borderline Personality Disorder, Stop Walking on Eggshells, and The Stop Walking on Eggshells Workbook. When you purchase those books from this site (just click on each title) you help defray the considerable costs of managing this free community.
