Gunderson Residence of McLean Hospital
The Gunderson Residence in Cambridge, MA is a unique treatment program for women with BPD or other complex personality disorders. The self-funded program offers highly structured, individualized treatment in a comfortable, supportive setting designed to foster self-reliance, independence and optimal functioning. Treatment integrates a number of evidence-based practices, including mentalization-based therapy (MBT) and other skills-based approaches, such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and psychoeducation (PE). This comprehensive approach provides patients with optimal tools for recovery. The residence is a program of the world-renowned McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School's largest psychiatric affiliate.
