"I have been working in mental health for more than 25 years and have a wide range of experience. Much of my work has been with personality disorders, dissociation, and post-traumatic stress (as well as anxiety, depression and other issues). My approach is a blend that comes from training in humanistic-existential therapies including client centered, gestalt, and experiential. Along the way, I have leaned strongly towards a mindfulness approach and have incorporated elements of cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral therapies. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is my most recent interest. Therapy with me is client-based. That is, work is tailored to the needs of the client in a collaborative process. It can be short or long-term, more process oriented or more pragmatic depending on the need and preferences of each client. Please visit my website (www.strisik.com) where I have written more extensively about my background and approach and feel free to email or call if you have any questions or wish to discuss the possibility of working together."
