The staff at BPDCentral regrets that we cannot answer personal
mail from site visitors. But here are some of the most common
questions and answers.
- If you have a question about someone in your life that may
have BPD, or want to chat with others in a similar situation,
please join a Welcome to Oz group or the Nook, the board on BPDCentral. You can find them under Support Groups on the home
page. We cannot answer any personal questions from individuals
about their own BPD situation. If you have technical questions
about any of the lists, please read the GUIDELINES you will
receive when you join the group.
- If you're trying to buy an Eggshells Press book, call
888-35-SHELL during daytime hours or email
Bookch@aol.com.
- We do not have lists of clinicians or attorneys. For
information on how to find a clinician, purchase The Stop
Walking on Eggshells Workbook. If you want info on how to find a
good attorney, purchase Splitting: Protecting Yourself when
Divorcing a BP or NPD. They are available by calling
888-35-SHELL
- If you want more information about BPD as a student or
individual, we suggest that you buy a book (see above) search
more websites, or find clinical articles, or otherwise use your
imagination and research skills.
- The National Education Association for BPD (www.borderlinepersonalitydisorder.com
says that its mission is to "raise public awareness, provide
education, promote research on borderline personality disorder,
and enhance the quality of life of those affected [including
family members] by this serious mental illness. They may be able
to help you. A new organization called the Personality Disorders
Awareness Network (www.PDAN.org)
is in the process of building a website that gives additional
info (including booklets) about BPD.
- If you have a question or problem with the Nook, you have to
speak with the volunteer facilitators there.
If you would like to send either a thank you letter or a
critical letter (they're either one or the other, of course)
please post it on the NOOK message board (click on MESSAGE
BOARDS on BPDCentral and use the "resources" folder
